Son's Geronimo sits on a quiet, spring-fed stretch of Geronimo Creek just outside Seguin, Texas — about 45 minutes east of San Antonio and 15 minutes from downtown New Braunfels. It's the most secluded of our family of getaways, designed for couples, small families, and friend groups who want a calm overnight in nature without giving up real beds, real bathrooms, and real hot showers. The cabins are tucked under mature pecan and cypress trees, with private firepits, hammocks, and direct creek access just steps from the porch.
Most guests pair an overnight at Son's Geronimo with a day on the water at one of our sister properties. The most popular combination: a full-day private cabana at Son's Island followed by a quiet creekside evening here. Families with kids often add a tubing run — see our guide to family things to do near New Braunfels for a stress-free 24-hour itinerary, or browse our glamping near San Antonio guide if this is your first overnight cabin trip.
Son's Geronimo is roughly 45 minutes from San Antonio via I-10 East, 1 hour from Austin via I-35 South, and a 15-minute drive from the heart of New Braunfels. Many guests are surprised how quickly the city falls away — by the time you turn down the gravel drive, cell signal drops, the air smells like pecan trees, and the only soundtrack is creek water moving over limestone.
