Is it family-friendly?
Yes. The swim area is calm and shallow, the cabana, shade, and table are reserved before you arrive, and the island is capacity-limited so it never feels crowded. Kid life jackets are included with kayak/SUP wristbands.
How does it compare to Canyon Lake or Schlitterbahn?
Canyon Lake is gorgeous but parking and ramps fill early; Schlitterbahn is fun but loud, lined-up, and the 'cabanas' are shaded chairs next to thousands of other guests. At Son's Island your cabana, dock, and parking are guaranteed in advance — nothing to race for.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
