Son's River Ranch sits on a private bend of the San Marcos River in Martindale, Texas — about an hour northeast of San Antonio and 25 minutes south of Austin. The property is best known for the easiest river tubing in Central Texas: gentle, clear, spring-fed water that stays a refreshing 72°F year-round. Day visits run all summer, and the on-site campground and glamping cabins make it a favorite weekend destination for families, friend groups, and bachelorette weekends that want river time without the crowds of New Braunfels.

A Typical Day on the Ranch

Most groups arrive between 10am and 11am, set up at their reserved spot, and start the day with a one-to-two-hour float down our private river run. The take-out is a short walk back to the property, so you can lap the float as many times as you'd like. After lunch, kids gravitate to the water playground while parents relax on the riverbank. Day passes are valid until 6pm.

Things to Know

Outside food, non-glass drinks, and personal coolers are welcome. We sell ice, snacks, and tube rentals on site if you'd rather travel light.
