Day Trip FAQ
- How big is a group at a single cabana?
- Each Son's Island day cabana includes entry for 8 guests as standard. Up to 15 people total are permitted per cabana with a per-guest add-on of $10–$25. Children 2 and under are free.
- Is there a BBQ pit?
- Yes. Every cabana has a private charcoal BBQ pit, plus a picnic table and bar-top counter with stools. Bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid, and grill utensils.
- Where do I park?
- Free parking is included for 2 cars per cabana at our lot near the shuttle dock at 110 Lee St, Seguin, TX 78155. Our shuttle runs guests across to the island. Overflow parking can be arranged on busy weekends.
- What time do day cabanas run?
- Day cabanas run 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in at the shuttle dock.
- How far is the drive from San Antonio?
- About 45 minutes from downtown San Antonio (I-10 E to Seguin). Roughly 25 minutes from New Braunfels, about an hour from Austin.
- Can we bring our own food and drinks?
- Yes — outside food and drinks are welcome, including alcohol. The only rule is no glass containers anywhere on the island.
